About the player
Amilton has a Taça de Portugal winner's medal from the 2017–18 season, which he won with C.D. Aves. It came a year after another trophy in Portuguese football: the LigaPro, the country's second tier, with Portimonense in 2016–17. Those two seasons are the high points of a career that has moved through many clubs.
He started out with Peladeiros in 2008–09, then spent two seasons with CD Ourense B. After a year at Valenciano he moved to Varzim S.C., where he stayed from 2013 to 2015. C.F. União da Madeira followed in 2015–16, and then Portimonense, where the promotion year came. In 2017 he had a short spell with TSV 1860 Munich before returning to Portugal and joining Aves.
The longest stay of his career came in Turkey. He joined Antalyaspor in 2019 and was there until 2022. He then played for Konyaspor for a season and briefly for Çaykur Rizespor in 2023, before two years at Gençlerbirliği. His time with Esenler Erokspor began in 2025.
Amilton is a right-footed forward who can also play on the wing. His career has been built on movement between clubs and leagues rather than on a single long stay. Between the 2016–17 promotion with Portimonense and the cup win with Aves, he took part in two of the biggest seasons in Portuguese football's lower and upper reaches.
