About the player
Andy Pelmard was born in Nice and came through OGC Nice's academy before making his professional debut for the club in 2019.
A €3 million move took him to Clermont Foot in July 2023 on a four-year contract, where he made 37 league appearances. A loan to Lecce in August 2024 was cut short after a disciplinary incident in December of that year, when he was arrested for drunk driving and for ignoring a police checkpoint following the club's Christmas dinner; Lecce excluded him from the first-team squad immediately, and the loan was terminated by mutual agreement the following January. He moved on loan to Las Palmas for the rest of that season, then to Jagiellonia Białystok in September 2025, again with a purchase option attached.
Pelmard represented France at youth level through the U17s, U18s, U20s and U21s, including the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, before switching his international allegiance to Madagascar through his mother. He made his senior debut for Madagascar in September 2025 in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic, a match Madagascar won 2–0.
