About the player
Ármin Pécsi was signed by the Puskás Akadémia academy in 2017 after coming through Győri ETO's youth ranks. He returned to Puskás Akadémia and made the goalkeeper shirt his own, playing 46 league matches and keeping nine clean sheets in the 2024–2025 NB I season alone.
That run of form persuaded Liverpool to pay a reported £1.5 million for him in June 2025, a club record sale for Puskás Akadémia and a striking fee for a goalkeeper leaving Hungarian football. He was nominated for the Golden Boy Award that year and picked up a winner's medal with Liverpool in the J.League World Challenge during their pre-season tour.
Internationally, Pécsi has already been capped once by Hungary, making his senior debut against Kazakhstan in June 2026.
