Brandon Ashley Cover

Rotherham United's midfield addition arrived from a long apprenticeship at Leicester City, where Brandon Cover joined the academy at the age of seven and did not sign his first professional contract until October 2022. His senior bow, when it finally came in January 2024, was in the FA Cup against Birmingham City rather than the league.

Loaned to Port Vale in August 2024, Cover made 20 appearances across the league and FA Cup and scored twice, including the winner in a 2–1 league victory over Swindon Town. That loan was recalled in January 2025, and he was quickly sent out again, this time to Fleetwood Town for the remainder of the campaign, though the second spell yielded no goals from eight league outings.

Internationally, Cover has committed his future to Jamaica rather than England.

Cover's move to Rotherham United in February 2026 ended his long association with Leicester City, arriving on an 18-month contract. Primarily a defensive midfielder, he has also filled in at full-back when needed. He made ten league appearances for Rotherham in the second half of the 2025–26 season as he worked to establish himself at a new club.
