About the player
Brahim Díaz grew up in Málaga's youth ranks before Manchester City signed him from the club's academy in 2013 for around £315,000. He worked his way through City's system and made 15 senior appearances, collecting a Premier League title, an EFL Cup and a Community Shield along the way, before Real Madrid brought him to the Bernabéu in January 2019 for an initial £15.5 million.
A three-year loan at AC Milan reshaped his career. Real Madrid sent him out in 2020, and the arrangement was extended for two further seasons; over that spell Díaz made 124 appearances, scored 18 goals and won the Serie A title in 2021–22, with Milan covering his wages throughout the loan. He has since added two La Liga titles, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Intercontinental Cup and two editions of the Supercopa de España to his collection.
Internationally, Díaz switched allegiance to Morocco in March 2024 after representing Spain at youth level, where he had already reached a European Under-17 final. He also won the FIFA Arab Cup with Morocco in 2025.
