About the player
Soufiane Rahimi came through the Raja Casablanca academy, signed his first professional contract there in 2017, and spent the 2017–2018 season on loan at Étoile de Casablanca before returning to make his senior debut.
The move abroad came in August 2021, when Al Ain signed him on a four-year deal; the club extended his contract in 2024 through to 2028.
For Morocco, Rahimi wears the number 9 shirt and has become one of the side's most reliable finishers, with 14 goals in his senior caps. He was part of the squads that won the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2025 Arab Cup, and had earlier reached the final of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup as a runner-up. At the 2026 World Cup he opened his account against Haiti and then struck the winner against Canada in the Round of 16.
