About the player
Beibarys Kaldybay is a goalkeeper who came through the Kaspiy academy in Aktau and has spent most of his career finding minutes away from the club's first team, then returning to it.
His senior career began in the club's reserve side, Kaspiy-M Aktau, in the Second Division in 2022 and 2023. In 2023 he was also listed with the main Kaspiy squad. That March he attended a training camp with the Kazakhstan U-19 team, having earlier been called up to the U-17 side as well.
In February 2024 he left for Zhas Kan, also in the Second Division, and played five matches there, 450 minutes in all. On 31 July 2024 he moved on to Khan Tengri in the First Division, where he stayed into 2025.
He returned to Kaspiy in April 2025, again registered with the reserve side. That season he made 13 appearances for Kaspiy-M in the Second Division. He also played once for the main Kaspiy team in the First Division, the closest he has come to a regular place with the senior squad.
In 2026 Kaspiy-M moved up to the First Division, and Kaldybay has played five matches for them at that level. He has not yet been capped by the senior Kazakhstan national team.
