About the player
Ben-Chayeel Hamada was born in Marseille and started out at AS Busserine before moving into the academy at AS Nancy Lorraine. He got his first taste of senior football with Nancy during the 2022–2023 season, making three appearances for the first team before leaving on a free transfer to Dijon in August 2023.
At Dijon he again began with the reserves, and it took until March 2024 for his senior debut to arrive, coming off the bench in the 71st minute against SO Cholet. Two months later he signed his first professional contract. Through it all he operates as a midfielder, despite some records listing him as a defender.
Hamada's other path has run through the Comoros national team. He was capped three times by the Comoros under-20s in 2022, featuring at the Maurice Revello Tournament, before making the step up to the senior side in October 2023 in a friendly against Cape Verde that Comoros won 2–1. That appearance remains his only one at senior international level so far.
