About the player
Bennit Bröger came through Wolfsburg's academy after arriving from Braunschweiger SC Acosta. With the VfL Wolfsburg U17s he won the German Under-17 Bundesliga North/North-East title, and by the 2023/24 season he was a regular presence for the U19 side, contributing five goals and five assists in fifteen appearances.
Bröger moved on a free transfer to SC Paderborn 07, signing a contract that runs until 2028 and keeping the number 38 shirt he had worn at Wolfsburg. The move gave him a fresh start at a club where a pathway to regular football looked more open.
That pathway has, for now, run through Paderborn's second team, where he made thirty appearances and scored twice. To sharpen his development further, he was loaned out to SC Fortuna Köln for the 2025/26 season, a step designed to give him consistent senior minutes away from Paderborn's first-team squad.
