About the player
Beres Owusu came through the youth ranks close to home in the Paris region, playing at Villiers-le-Bel before joining AS Sarcelles, where he captained the side from under-11s through to under-18 level. In October 2020 he moved into the Saint-Étienne academy at Étrat, and by December 2022 he had signed his first professional contract with the club. He spent three seasons with Saint-Étienne's reserve side before making his senior debut in August 2024.
A loan to US Quevilly-Rouen Métropole followed for the 2024–2025 campaign, giving him regular football away from Saint-Étienne's first team. In August 2025 he moved to Grazer AK, initially on loan with an option to buy. That option was exercised the following May, and Owusu signed a contract with the Austrian club running until 2029, with Saint-Étienne receiving a transfer fee for the permanent deal.
Born in Paris, Owusu holds French nationality and is of Ghanaian descent, which leaves him eligible to represent Ghana as well as France, though he has not yet featured for either country at senior or youth international level.
