About the player
Jakob Meierhofer came up through Gössendorf, Vasoldsberg and the Admira Wacker Mödling academy before joining that club's senior squad in 2015, yet he never made a first-team Bundesliga appearance there, settling instead for 21 outings with the reserves in the Regionalliga. Spells at TuS Bad Gleichenberg and SV Lafnitz followed, the latter yielding just a single 2. Liga appearance, before a free transfer took him to Grazer AK in the summer of 2020.
Meierhofer kept 13 clean sheets in 27 matches, according to LAOLA1, as Grazer AK won the Austrian 2. Liga title and secured promotion to the Bundesliga. His form was recognised beyond the dressing room: the league jury named him Goalkeeper of the Season, and he also collected the LAOLA1 User Team award for his position, a prize he had finished third for the year before. As of December 2025, he has made 115 appearances for the club's first team.
He has not been capped for Austria's senior side or any of its youth national teams.
