Cristian Gonzalo Olivera Ibarra

The route there ran through four countries. He came up at C.A. Rentistas, debuting in Uruguay's second division in 2019 and playing in the top flight the following year, before Almería took him to Spain in September 2020. Loans followed rather than minutes in Andalusia: C.A. Peñarol in 2021, C.A. Boston River in 2022.

Grêmio paid $4.5m for him in February 2025, on a contract to the end of 2027 with a one-year option. He won the Recopa Gaúcha that year. In January 2026 Bahia took him on loan for $400,000 to the end of the season, with a mandatory purchase clause of $4m attached. He won the Campeonato Baiano with them in 2026, and by early 2027 had made 22 appearances for the first team, scoring once in the 2026 Série A.

Uruguay capped him for the first time on 12 September 2023 against Ecuador. He has 13 senior appearances and no goals. At youth level he played 19 times for the U-17s and scored four goals, three of them at the 2019 South American U-17 Championship.
