About the player
David Martin Anane's route to the Kazakhstan Premier League began at a training tour in Turkey. The Ghanaian forward, then at Cheetah FC, where he had come through the youth ranks including the U-15 side, was seen there while playing with FC Vista. In August 2020 that led to a four-year deal with Fremad Amager in Denmark.
Denmark brought him 18 appearances between 2020 and 2022. The Baltic states gave him more regular football. At FK Liepāja in Latvia in 2023 he scored twice in 21 league matches. In February 2024 he moved to Lithuania and FK Kauno Žalgiris, where he played 27 league games and scored once as the team finished third.
He stayed in Lithuania in 2025, joining FC Džiugas Telšiai on a free transfer in March. He played 29 matches there and scored twice.
In February 2026 he signed a one-year contract with Ulytau in the Kazakhstan Premier League, again on a free transfer. By July 2026 Anane had made 17 league appearances for the club and scored three goals.
