About the player
He made his senior debut for Motherwell in December 2014, and the loan spells that followed shaped him more than the parent contracts did: at Dumbarton in 2018–19 he scored 14 goals in 26 appearances and was named in the PFA Scotland League One Team of the Year.
That spell earned him a move to Derry City in January 2025, though it lasted only until the summer, when he returned north to join Ayr United on a free transfer.
Thomas has also worn Scotland's colours, earning six caps for the under-21s between 2017 and 2019. A right-footed midfielder comfortable playing higher up as a winger.
