Dominik Weixelbraun

Dominik Weixelbraun spent his senior career's opening chapters away from Vienna's top flight, working through FC Juniors OÖ and SKU Amstetten before Rapid Wien came calling. He began at FC Juniors OÖ, LASK's partner club, where he scored eight goals in 28 appearances in the 2. Liga during the 2021/22 season.

Amstetten became the place where Weixelbraun built his reputation. He joined on loan in July 2022, had that loan extended for a second season, and made the switch permanent in June 2024. Across three seasons there he grew into a reliable scoring threat from the wing.

That move came in July 2025, when Rapid Wien signed him on a free transfer and tied him down until June 2027. The left-footed winger, comfortable on either flank, was initially assigned to Rapid Wien II rather than pushed straight into the senior side, and has made nine appearances for the club so far this season. A loan to SC Austria Lustenau is already arranged for the 2026/27 campaign.

At youth level, Weixelbraun represented Austria at U19, collecting nine caps and a goal between 2021 and 2022 and featuring at that year's European Under-19 Championship. He has not yet been capped by the senior national team.
