Ebrima Adams

Dartford took a club-record sale when Norwich City signed Ebrima "Ebou" Adams in February 2016. He had come through their youth system after starting at Orpington, and had already been loaned to Walton Casuals during his first senior season.

Norwich did not play him much at first. Instead he was sent out to Braintree Town, Shrewsbury Town and Leyton Orient. He left for Ebbsfleet United on a free transfer in June 2018.

Forest Green Rovers signed him a year later. He was central to their 2021–22 League Two title, and the PFA named him in its League Two Team of the Year. Cardiff City brought him in that July, and in January 2024 he went on loan to Derby County. The move became permanent in July 2024. Derby finished League One runners-up in 2023–24 and gained promotion to the Championship, and Adams helped them get there.

His best individual season at Derby was 2024–25. Supporters voted him Player of the Year, so he took the Jack Stamps Trophy, and he also collected the Goal of the Season award.

Adams was born in Greenwich, London, but plays international football for the Gambia. He debuted in November 2017 against Morocco B and has scored twice for his country. He was part of the squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, played in 2022, where the Gambia reached the quarter-finals.

In January 2026 he joined Portsmouth from Derby in a deal reported at £500,000. He is a right-footed central midfielder.
