About the player
Enzo Castillo Sosa arrived at Liverpool Montevideo in August 2024 on a free transfer, signing on a contract that runs to the end of 2027. A left-footed defender who can play at centre-back or on the left side of the back line, he made his way through Uruguayan football via Villa Española, after starting out in the Montevideo Wanderers academy.
From Villa Española he joined La Luz FC, where he spent more than three years before a switch to Cerro Largo FC at the start of 2024. He moved to Liverpool Montevideo just eight months later, after 21 appearances for Cerro Largo.
He has continued in that role into 2026, having started three matches in the Primera División so far this year, playing 270 minutes and picking up a yellow card along the way.
