E. Novykh

Evgeny Novykh scored his first two senior goals in the same match, and it was a big one. Against Torpedo-BelAZ on 20 September 2026, the FC Vitebsk right-back scored twice in a 6-0 win. The performance made him the Best Player of the 23rd Round in the Belarusian Vysshaya Liga. Goals from a full-back are rare enough, and a first career double came at a moment when he was already a regular in the side.

Novykh is an academy graduate. He came through the Vitebsk youth system and joined the senior squad in 2023, so no transfer fee was involved.

His league appearances have risen each year. He played 13 matches in 2024, then 28 in 2025. In 2026 he had reached 23 league appearances by the time of the Torpedo-BelAZ game. He has also played eight matches in the Belarusian Cup.

Alongside his club work, Novykh plays for the Belarus U21 national team. He has appeared in friendlies and in qualifying matches for the UEFA European U21 Championship.

The double came in the 23rd round, and by then he was one of the players Vitebsk relied on down the right flank.
