Emersonn Correia da Silva

Emersonn's route to the first team ran through a long injury. After a standout season in the Athletico Paranaense youth ranks in 2021, he was in the first year of a professional contract, signed that June, when a cruciate ligament injury in October 2022 stopped him. The recovery kept him out until late 2023.

He had been marked out early. As a schoolboy he played four matches for Brazil at the 2019 South American U-15 Championship. He has not been capped by the senior side.

The senior debut for Athletico Paranaense came on 30 June 2024, and he went on to play 13 matches for the club without scoring. The first goals of his professional career came abroad. He joined Göztepe in Turkey in January 2025 and made 17 appearances there, scoring twice.

That spell was short. In September 2025 he moved to France and signed for Toulouse.

At 186 centimetres he is tall for a forward and uses his right foot. What it shows is a player who lost the better part of a year to injury and has since moved quickly, across two countries in twelve months.
