About the player
Erlend Segberg was part of the Fredrikstad squad that beat Molde in the 2024 Norwegian Cup final. He had joined the club on a free transfer that March and made nine league and three cup appearances before leaving.
His route to that season began in Kristiansand, where he first joined the Start youth system in 2011. A move to FK Vigør followed in June 2012. In 2013 he went abroad to the youth side of Aalborg BK, and in February 2014 he returned to Vigør. In March 2015 he came back to Start permanently and was handed his senior debut there. That same year he earned eight caps for Norway at under-18 level.
Start was where he stayed until early 2021, when he moved to Aalesund. He played there until 2023. After the cup season at Fredrikstad he moved in July 2024 to Kristiansund, again on a free transfer.
He then went to Italy and joined Trapani in Serie C, where he played until January 2026. It was the only time in his career that he played outside Norway at senior level.
That month he returned to Start on a free transfer and signed a contract running to December 2028. He plays in midfield.
