About the player
Ousmane Diallo Toure scored in a 6–3 defeat by Molde in May 2026, and media outlets cited the goal as part of his breakthrough in the Eliteserien. It was one of three league goals he had scored for Start by then, in 18 appearances.
The route to that point was not a fast one. He moved from Spain to Norway in 2015, aged 12, and holds both Spanish and Norwegian nationality. His football grew up in Vålerenga's system, where he played for the club's second team in the 2. divisjon in 2020 and 2021. He made 30 appearances there and scored three goals.
In winter 2022 he joined Skeid on a free transfer and made his senior debut that April. A loan spell at SK Træff in the 2. divisjon followed in 2023, with 14 appearances. He then returned to Skeid and became a regular on the right side of the defence. Across his time at the club he played 67 league matches and scored five goals. Skeid dropped into the third tier in 2025, the season he left.
Start announced his signing on 18 November 2025, again on a free transfer. He joined in January 2026 on a three-year contract.
He has also spoken publicly about racist abuse from spectators at the Norway Cup when he was a youth player.
