Florian Rieder

Florian Rieder's move to WSG Tirol in June 2019 was announced before it was agreed. The club presented him as a signing, but Wacker Innsbruck, his employer, blocked it. Wacker cited the lack of a written agreement and questions over third-party ownership. The dispute was settled and he joined on a free transfer.

His first senior football came with the club's second team. A loan to Kufstein followed, where he made 16 appearances and scored five goals. Back with the Wacker first team, he played 33 times and scored twice. The club won promotion to the Bundesliga in 2018 and went down again in 2019.

After WSG Tirol he spent two seasons at Austria Klagenfurt, playing 44 times and scoring six goals. A year at Wolfsberger AC brought 22 appearances and one goal. An earlier move to Eintracht Braunschweig had fallen through. Rieder has described that episode as one of the hardest learning phases of his life.

In August 2024 he returned to WSG Tirol, again on a free transfer. The club dissolved his contract in January 2026.

He signed for Austria Salzburg immediately afterwards, and the move gave him a title. Salzburg won the 2. Liga in 2025–26, and Rieder, a right-footed left winger who wears the number 10, played 12 games and scored twice by May 2026.
