Moritz Eder

Moritz Eder is a right-back who learned the game in a series of youth set-ups and then returned to the club that had first taken him on as a teenager. Born in Zell am See, he started at SK Lenzing and spent six years there before moving to FC Pinzgau Saalfelden in 2014. Three years later he switched to SV Grödig.

The move that shaped his development came in 2018, when he joined the AKA Linz academy, which played as FC Juniors OÖ. He stayed four years. In the 2021–22 season he was loaned to FC Blau-Weiß Linz, his first step beyond the academy.

When that spell ended, Eder did not stay in Linz. In 2022 he went back to FC Pinzgau Saalfelden, this time for senior football, and remained there until 2024. It was a return to familiar ground, and he was a right-footed defender by then, rather than a teenager passing through.

The next step was to Grazer AK in the summer of 2024. He arrived on a free transfer and signed a two-year contract with an option for a third.
