Fábio Ronaldo

Fábio Ronaldo left Rio Ave in January 2025 as part of a deal built around another player. André Luiz moved permanently from Estrela da Amadora to Rio Ave for about €2.2 million. Fábio Ronaldo and his team-mate Amine went the other way. His own fee was reported at around €520,000.

He had spent his youth years at Boavista and Sporting CP before joining Rio Ave. He came through the club's under-23 side, where he played 14 games and scored three goals in the Liga Revelação in 2020/21. His senior debut came the following season, 2021/22, when he made 14 appearances. Rio Ave were in Liga Portugal 2 that year and won the title.

His role grew in the seasons that followed. He played 31 times and scored three goals in 2022/23, then made 34 appearances and scored once in 2023/24. In 2024/25 he added 12 more appearances and one goal before the move. Across the four seasons he played about 91 league matches for Rio Ave and scored five goals.

Estrela da Amadora was a short stay, from January to September 2025. On 8 September 2025 he signed for Motor Lublin for €400,000, his first club outside Portugal.

In Poland he has played 27 Ekstraklasa matches in the 2025/26 season, scoring four goals and providing three assists. He has also made one appearance in the Polish Cup.
