Facundo Pimienta

Facundo Pimienta joined Atlético Tucumán in September 2024 on a free transfer after mutually rescinding his contract with Vélez Sarsfield, signing through the end of 2027; Vélez retained a 30% stake in any future transfer fee. He is a product of the Vélez youth system, where he progressed through the club's junior categories and later played for the reserve side without ever breaking into the first team. A loan spell in Sweden interrupted that path: in August 2023 he moved to BK Olympic to play in the Ettan Södra, the Swedish third tier, making twelve appearances before returning to Argentina at the end of that year without having scored.

At Atlético Tucumán, Pimienta has continued to build his career gradually, featuring for the reserve team and scoring in competitions such as the reserve fixture against Barracas Central in 2025. His first-team debut came on 26 July 2026, in the opening round of the Torneo Clausura against Independiente Rivadavia at the Estadio Monumental José Fierro. He entered as a substitute for Franco Nicola in the 81st minute, playing around ten minutes in a match that finished goalless. He has yet to score for the first team.
