Gerda Konst built her recent career in Portugal rather than at home in the Netherlands. Between 2023 and 2025 the midfielder was a regular at Racing Power, making 28 appearances and scoring six goals from midfield, a return that speaks to a player comfortable getting forward as well as controlling the centre of the pitch.

In July 2025 she moved on a free transfer to SCU Torreense, joining the women's side as they were building into one of the stronger squads in Portuguese football. The timing worked in her favour: Torreense Women won the Taça de Portugal in the 2024–25 season, and followed it up with the Taça da Liga and the Supercopa de Portugal in 2025–26, giving Konst a run of silverware in her first year at the club.

She plays as a central midfielder, right-footed, and her path to Portugal came without any senior involvement for the Dutch national team. Her football education before Racing Power is not part of the public record, so her career effectively begins, for these purposes, in Portugal rather than in the Netherlands, where she was born in either Sneek or Balk.
