About the player
Maile Hayes signed her first professional contract with Torreense in January 2025, and on her debut in February that year, she scored the winning goal against Sporting CP. She was named Player of the Match in both the Super Cup and League Cup finals, and was included in the Campeonato Nacional Feminino Best XI.
Hayes arrived in Portugal by way of American college soccer. She began at Texas A&M, where she was named First-team All-SEC, before finishing her college career at USC, where she won the Big Ten Conference Championship and earned First-team All-Big Ten honours.
She has not yet been capped by the United States Women's National Team.
