About the player
He came up through Málaga CF's academy and made his senior bow with Málaga B in the Tercera División, adding a couple of Segunda División appearances for the first team along the way. A loan spell at CD Badajoz in the Primera División RFEF followed, before a move to UD Logroñés.
The turning point came at CD Castellón, where Crettaz signed a two-year deal after Logroñés' relegation. He became an undisputed starter there, making 77 league appearances and helping the club win promotion to the Segunda División. When his Castellón contract expired, he followed manager Dick Schreuder to NEC Nijmegen on a free transfer, signing a three-year deal in the Dutch Eredivisie.
At NEC, Crettaz quickly established himself as first-choice goalkeeper, starting 36 league matches in his debut season. Born in Buenos Aires, he holds dual Argentine and Spanish citizenship, though he has not yet earned a senior international call-up for either country. He wears the number one shirt for his club.
