Ilias Sebaoui

Antwerp born and Morocco capped, Ilias Sebaoui took the long route through Belgian youth football before his career properly began. He passed through KFC Kontich, Beerschot A.C. and Waasland-Beveren as a boy before returning to K Beerschot VA, where he stayed from 2015, made his senior debut in October 2021 and signed his first professional contract the following February. Over two seasons there he scored four goals in 38 league appearances, enough to earn a move to Feyenoord in June 2023 for a fee of around €1 million, with a further €125,000 due to Beerschot in training compensation.

The step up to Eredivisie level did not translate into first-team football. Sebaoui never made an appearance for Feyenoord and instead spent two seasons out on loan, at SC Heerenveen, where he was among the top scorers in the 2024–25 KNVB Beker campaign. Rather than fight for a place back in Rotterdam, he returned to Belgium permanently in June 2025, joining Sint-Truiden for a fee of roughly €1 million on a four-year contract.

At Sint-Truiden he has become a regular starter in the Jupiler Pro League, wearing the number 10 shirt and reaching 40 league appearances with five goals. On the international front, Sebaoui chose Morocco over Belgium, turning down a call-up to the Belgian under-21s before making his one appearance for the Morocco under-23 side in 2022.
