Isa Dayakli

Isa Dayakli came to İstanbulspor in January 2025 by an unusual route: from the German fifth tier, on a free transfer. He had left TuS Mechtersheim, who released him with the agreement of sporting director David Demmerle, according to reports in Rheinpfalz.

His route to that point was built in Vienna's lower leagues. He spent his youth years at Rapid Wien, from 2009 to 2016, then moved to Post SV Wien. At SK Slovan-Hütteldorfer AC he made his senior debut in the Wiener Stadtliga in 2021.

The step that shaped his career came in July 2022, when he joined Favoritner AC in the same division. Favoritner won the Wiener Stadtliga in 2022/23, and Dayakli was part of that squad. The title took the club up to the Regionalliga Ost, where he played the following season, 2023/24.

In January 2024 he left Austria for Mechtersheim, who play in the Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz/Saar. He stayed a year, then made a second move, this time to Turkey and the TFF 1. Lig.

At İstanbulspor his first months were short on minutes. In the 2024/25 season he played four league matches and two in the Turkish Cup, six appearances in all, without a goal or an assist. He has not been capped by Austria at senior level, nor by any Turkish national side.
