About the player
Thirty-one goals in Ligue 2 in 2020–2021 is the season that defines Jim Allevinah's career. Clermont Foot had signed him from Le Puy Foot 43 Auvergne for a reported €25,000 in June 2019, and two years later his goals helped the club win promotion to Ligue 1 for the first time in its history. He was named in the Ligue 2 Team of the Year by both UNFP and France Football.
The route there ran through the lower divisions. Allevinah started out at SU Agen, then moved to FC Marmande 47, Aviron Bayonnais and Le Puy before Clermont came in. He stayed at Clermont until his contract expired in May 2024, when he joined Angers SCO on a free transfer.
His first season at Angers brought 29 goals in 30 Ligue 1 matches.
He also plays for Gabon. His debut came on 23 March 2019, a 1–1 draw with Burundi in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. By December 2025 he had won 36 caps and scored 10 goals for the national side.
In January 2026 Allevinah went to Kasımpaşa on loan until the end of the 2025–2026 season, with no purchase option in the deal. He played eight times for the Turkish club, scored five goals and provided two assists. He returned to Angers in June 2026.
