Jarrod Bowen

Jarrod Bowen scored the goal that gave West Ham their first European trophy in the Europa Conference League era. In the 2023 final against Fiorentina he started, scored in the 90th minute to make it 2–1, and was named Man of the Match.

His route to that night began at Hereford United, where he made his senior debut in March 2014. He scored once in eight league appearances before the club was expelled from the Conference Premier that June. He joined Hull City on a free transfer the following month. He spent time in the youth setup before his senior debut in August 2016.

Hull is where he made his name. Between 2016 and January 2020 he played 131 times and scored 54 goals, 52 of them in the league. West Ham signed him on 31 January 2020 for a reported £22 million, an initial £18m that could rise to £25m. He is now the club's captain.

His England career started on 4 June 2022 with a 1–0 defeat by Hungary. He was left out of the World Cup squad that year. His first goal for his country came on 17 November 2024 in a 5–0 win over the Republic of Ireland. Gareth Southgate took him to Euro 2024, where he made his tournament debut as a substitute against Serbia. England reached the final and finished as runners-up. As of April 2026 he had 22 caps and one goal.

In May 2026 Thomas Tuchel left him out of his 26-man squad for the World Cup. The decision drew criticism from fans and pundits.
