About the player
Watford received an undisclosed fee.
He signed his first professional contract there in August 2020. A year later, in June 2021, Southampton released him without a senior appearance.
That came on 2 August 2021, when Watford took him on a free transfer. The contract ran for one year, with an option for a second. He played 55 competitive matches for the club and did not score.
The Championship was where most of that work was done. He made 12 league appearances in 2022–23 and 12 more in 2023–24. There were also six FA Cup games and five in the EFL Cup. By 2025–26 he had played only twice in the league, and the move to Leyton Orient followed in the winter window.
Morris has not played for England at senior or youth level. At Leyton Orient he has the chance to play regularly for the first time since leaving Southampton.
