Jan Zik

Jan Zíka worked his way through the Dynamo České Budějovice academy after starting out at TJ Sedlec and FC Písek, and it was at Dynamo where his development took shape. He returned to the club in 2020 following an earlier spell there in 2012, and climbed through the U19 and reserve sides, scoring 17 goals for the youth team and adding one more for the reserves in the third tier.

The breakthrough came in the Czech First League, where Zíka made his top-flight debut for Dynamo České Budějovice and got off the mark with his first senior goal in May 2025. Within weeks he had left as a free agent, joining Mladá Boleslav on 1 July 2025.

His form did not go unnoticed at international level. In March 2026 Zíka was called up to the Czech Republic under-20 side, starting in a friendly against Germany U20 in which he laid on an assist, and later coming off the bench in a match against Portugal U20.

Zíka is still building his senior résumé at Mladá Boleslav, with his career so far defined by a steady academy progression rather than a single defining moment.
