Jason van Duiven

Jason van Duiven signed for Lommel with the reputation of a goalscorer, and for a season and a half that is exactly what he was for Jong PSV, helping the side lift the Premier League International Cup with a goal in the extra-time win over Crystal Palace. He had come through the PSV Eindhoven academy and was loaned out to Almere City in the Eredivisie for the second half of the 2023–24 season, though he did not find the net in his league appearances there.

The switch to Belgium in August 2024 brought him to Lommel on a five-year deal, and he settled quickly into the Challenger Pro League, contributing goals and assists as the club secured promotion to the Jupiler Pro League. The bigger change came in January 2025, when manager Lee Johnson moved him from centre-forward to right-back, even as he continues to wear a forward's number on his back rather than a defender's.

Van Duiven's finishing has also marked his time with the Netherlands youth sides. He was capped at under-15 level before becoming a key figure for the under-17s at the 2022 European Championship, scoring three goals during the tournament including one in the final defeat by France. He has since gone on to represent the under-19s, adding further caps and goals at that level.
