Jessy Benet

Jessy Benet's career has been built almost entirely around Grenoble, in two separate spells either side of a stint at Amiens. He first arrived on loan from Dijon in 2017-18 and helped the club win the Championnat National title and go up to Ligue 2, a promotion he sealed on a permanent deal that summer. He stayed on to become a fixture in central midfield.

His best individual season came in 2020-21, when he scored nine goals and set up seven more in 34 league appearances as Grenoble finished fourth and reached the promotion play-offs, where they lost to Toulouse. That campaign also brought him the Sofascore Player of the Season award in Ligue 2.

He left for Amiens on a free transfer in September 2021 but managed only one goal in 45 league appearances over two seasons before returning to Grenoble in January 2023, again without a fee. The second spell proved more productive than the first: 107 league appearances and 23 goals through the 2024-25 season.

Benet's route to professional football ran through the amateur ranks at Montceau Bourgogne, where he made his senior debut in October 2012 and scored his first goal against Paris Saint-Germain's reserve side the following May. He also had a brief taste of international football, earning two caps for France's under-20 side in October 2014 and scoring against the Czech Republic.
