Jeyland Yahir Mitchell Baltodano

Jeyland Mitchell came through the youth ranks at Limón F.C., where he joined at the age of eight. His route to the top took him through a string of Costa Rican clubs — stretches at A.D. Guanacasteca and A.D.

The move that changed his career came in July 2024, when Feyenoord paid a reported €2.5 million for him. In September 2025, he was loaned to SK Sturm Graz with an option to buy, a move the Austrian club made permanent in 2026. He scored his first goal for Sturm Graz against Grazer AK and made 19 league appearances during his time in Graz, wearing the number 2 shirt before switching to number 4 after his subsequent transfer to RC Strasbourg Alsace for around €8 million on a five-year contract.

On the international stage, Mitchell made his senior debut for Costa Rica in a friendly against El Salvador in February 2024 and has since earned 23 caps and scored twice for the national side. He was part of the Costa Rica squad at the 2024 Copa América, where his defensive performance against Brazil stood out as one of the tournament's notable moments for the team.
