Joffrey Bultel

Joffrey Bultel's route to Boulogne's first team ran through the club he already knew. He came up through US Boulogne's own youth ranks before leaving for Lille Métropole, where he spent two seasons in the U17s and a year with the U19s, interspersed with appearances for Lille B. That move did not lead to a breakthrough, and by January 2020 he had dropped down to Stade Portelois, followed by a spell at Le Touquet ACF. In July 2021 he returned to Boulogne, initially with the reserve side, before earning promotion to the senior squad a year later.

His impact at senior level took time to show in the numbers. In the 2024/2025 Championnat National season he made 23 league appearances but scored only once. That goal, though, carried weight: an equaliser against USL Dunkerque scored in the 95th minute, and his first as a professional in Ligue 2. He had also opened the club's scoring for the season with the opener against Châteauroux.

Off the pitch, his standing at the club grew alongside his playing time. Manager Fabien Dagneaux named him co-captain for the 2025/2026 season, a role that reflected his position as a senior figure in the squad. When Nolan Binet was subsequently appointed captain for 2026/2027, Bultel continued in a leadership role as vice-captain.
