About the player
Lord Afrifa's route to Austrian football began in Ghana, where he came through the youth ranks at Great Corinthians FC. In September 2024 he moved to Austria to join SK Sturm Graz's U19 academy, and within the same spell progressed to the club's reserve side, SK Sturm Graz II, in the 2. Liga. Over the following two seasons he became a regular fixture there, making around forty appearances for the second team.
The next step came in July 2026, on his 20th birthday, when Afrifa completed a free transfer to SC Austria Lustenau in the Austrian Bundesliga, signing a contract that runs to the summer of 2028 with the option of a further year. No fee changed hands. He now wears the number 20 shirt at Lustenau, a number that had gone to Jonathan Schmid the last time the club fielded a side in that squad number slot.
A right-footed central midfielder standing 180cm tall, Afrifa has also drawn interest from Kayserispor.
