Leonárdo Páblo Koútris

Leonárdo Pablo Koútris was born in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, and holds dual Greek-Brazilian citizenship, going on to represent Greece at international level while keeping his Brazilian nationality. He started out at Ergotelis, where a moment away from the pitch briefly overshadowed his football: on 17 October 2015, after picking up an injury, he was accidentally dropped twice by stretcher bearers, and footage of the incident was shared around the world.

His career took off after a 2015 free transfer to PAS Giannina. The following year, on 21 July 2016, he scored an extra-time away goal against Norwegian side Odd in Europa League qualifying, a strike that sent the Greek club through to the next round for the first time in its history. That form led Olympiacos to sign him in 2017 for a fee of €0.6 million. He was interrupted by loan spells at Mallorca and Fortuna Düsseldorf, and won the Super League Greece title and the Greek Cup with Olympiacos in the 2019–20 season, having already been named in the Super League Team of the Season for 2016–17.

Koútris earned seven caps for Greece between 2018 and 2021, making his debut in a 1–0 win over Estonia. His contract at Olympiacos expired in January 2023, and he moved to Pogoń Szczecin as a free agent. A left-back by trade, he plays predominantly on his left foot, though some databases have listed him as right-footed. He left Pogoń Szczecin once his contract there was not renewed, before agreeing a free transfer to Slovenian side NK Celje in July 2026 on a deal running to 30 June 2028.
