Lucas Frédéric Stassin

Lucas Stassin's academy career ran through Anderlecht for eight years. He had made only three senior appearances for the Brussels club, all coming after a prolific spell with the reserve side RSCA Futures, when he moved on to Westerlo in 2023. There, in a single season, he scored 11 goals in 31 appearances and became one of the five youngest scorers in the club's history.

He joined Saint-Étienne in August 2024, and Stassin repaid the fee quickly. He scored 12 goals in 28 Ligue 1 appearances in his debut season, including a two-goal display against Olympique Lyonnais, and was voted the division's Rising Star of the Season by Ligue 1 McDonald's, taking 37 per cent of the vote. None of it stopped Saint-Étienne going down to Ligue 2 that same season.

Relegation did not slow him. Stassin scored 11 goals and set up eight more in Ligue 2 the following season, was named the division's Player of the Month for September, and finished 2025 recognised as the best Belgian goalscorer of the year, ahead of Loïs Openda and Romelu Lukaku. Across all competitions for Saint-Étienne he reached 23 goals in 61 appearances.

In September 2026, Sevilla took him on loan with an option to buy, and he opened his account there with a goal in his first two appearances. He has also progressed through Belgium's youth ranks up to under-21 level, scoring five goals in 12 caps, before receiving his first senior call-up in 2026.
