Meirambek Kalmyrza

Meirambek Kalmyrza came through the FC Astana youth academy, and his first years in the senior game were spent largely away from the first team. He played for the reserve side, Astana M, and made only limited senior appearances for the main squad.

The turning point came in 2022, on loan at Okzhetpes. The club won the Kazakhstan First League that year, and he was part of it. He returned to Okzhetpes on loan in 2023 and again in July 2025, so the club became something of a recurring stop in his career.

In March 2024 he moved to Zhetysu on a free transfer and played 19 league matches there. On 17 January 2025 he signed for Tobol Kostanay, again on a free transfer. That summer he was loaned back to Okzhetpes before returning to Tobol. On 17 July 2026 he joined Kaspiy Aktau, once more on a free transfer.

Alongside the club moves, he had a steady international path. Kalmyrza played for the Kazakhstan Under-21 side from 2022 to 2024 and won 14 caps. They included European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Scotland and Malta. In November 2024 he was called up to the senior national team for UEFA Nations League matches, among them the game against Austria, and his senior debut for Kazakhstan came that year.
