Mohammed El Hankouri

Rotterdam-born but of Moroccan descent, El Hankouri made his senior debut for the Rotterdam side in the 2016–17 season, a campaign in which Feyenoord won the Eredivisie title. In January 2019 he moved on to FC Groningen, first on loan and then permanently, staying for three seasons.

His move to 1. FC Magdeburg in 2022 marked the point where his output picked up. Across three seasons in the 2. Bundesliga he built from two goals in his first year to five and then six, and his 2024–25 campaign, six goals and six assists in the league, was his most productive yet. In total he scored 13 goals and set up nine more in 74 appearances for the German club before leaving on a free transfer in August 2025 to sign with Standard Liège on a two-year deal, with the option of a third.

Internationally, El Hankouri has represented Morocco at youth level, turning out for the under-20s at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup and featuring in under-23 qualifiers for the 2020 African U-23 Championship, without yet adding a senior cap.

At Standard Liège he now wears the number 27 shirt, the same number he carried during his loan year at Willem II and in his last season back at Feyenoord.
