About the player
Muhammet Harun Genç has spent the first years of his senior career away from the club that holds his contract. Erokspor signed him as an amateur in September 2019, after he had come through the youth setup at Başakşehir, and made him a professional in December 2022. Since then he has gone out on loan each season to find regular football.
His most productive spell came at Silifke Belediyespor. Loaned there in September 2024, he played 28 matches in the TFF 3. Lig and scored six goals, the best return of his career so far.
The year before, at Fatsa Belediyespor, he made 20 league appearances in the same division and scored once. He also played one match in the Turkish Cup. Between those two loans he was back at Erokspor for a short time and played four times in the TFF 1. Lig.
His most recent loan, to 68 Aksaray Belediyespor for the 2025/2026 season, brought a single appearance in the TFF 3. Across his career he has made about 56 league appearances and scored seven goals. His contract with Erokspor runs until June 2027, and none of his moves has involved a transfer fee.
His early years were spent moving between clubs in Istanbul. He first joined Başakşehir in October 2014, spent a few months at Halic Spor in 2015, and returned to Başakşehir the following year.
