Ognjen Ilić

Ognjen Ilić's route to the Serbian SuperLiga has run almost entirely through the lower divisions. The midfielder came up through the youth ranks at Radnički 1923 Kragujevac, made his senior debut there in the Serbian First League during the 2017/18 season, and stayed with the club through to 2023.

In 2023 Ilić signed for Crvena Zvezda on a free transfer, but never played for the Belgrade club's first team, going straight out on loan to OFK Beograd, where he made 26 appearances and scored once in the First League.

That title paved the way for his move to Zemun ahead of the 2026/27 season, a transfer reported by Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport. He has since made 7-8 appearances for Zemun in the SuperLiga, his first taste of top-flight football.

Ilić has not been capped by Serbia at any level. He is sometimes confused with another Ognjen Ilić, a road cyclist who has represented Serbia internationally, including at the Olympics — a mix-up not helped by the footballer's father, Zoran Ilić, also having been a cyclist.
