O. Schwartau

Oscar Schwartau is an attacking midfielder for Norwich City. He became the youngest player in Brøndby IF history when he made his professional debut at sixteen. That same season he also set a record as the club's youngest league goalscorer.

He began his youth career locally in Denmark before moving through several academies. His breakthrough came when he signed a three-year contract with Brøndby in 2022. The move was significant, making him the first player born in 2006 to play in the Danish Superliga. He scored four goals in 36 league appearances for the Copenhagen side.

His international career has progressed rapidly through the Danish youth ranks. He represented his country at every level from U16 to U21, accumulating over forty caps. Most notably, he won the 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship with Denmark. He has yet to earn a senior national team cap.

In August 2024, Schwartau transferred to Norwich City for a reported fee of £2 million. He signed a four-year deal with a one-year option, while Brøndby retained a 15% sell-on clause. The transfer marked a significant step in his development.

At Norwich, he quickly adapted to English football. He scored his first goal for the club against Millwall in December 2024. He has since made seventy-four league appearances, scoring five goals. His performances have earned him recognition, leading to him being named Norwich City Young Player of the Season for 2025-26.
