Oliver Casey

Oliver Casey was in the Leeds United squad that won the Championship in 2019–20, and he has a winners' medal to show for it. His part was small: one league appearance, which came as a substitute against Huddersfield Town on 7 December 2019.

He joined the club's academy at ten and signed his first professional contract in November 2018. First-team chances stayed rare. In 2020–21 he played twice in cup competitions, while the bulk of his football came with the under-23s. He made 21 appearances as that side won the Premier League 2 Division Two title.

Blackpool signed him on a three-year contract from 1 July 2021. Reports said Leeds kept a sell-on clause. The fee was not disclosed.

Casey spent 2022–23 on loan at Forest Green Rovers and played 48 games in all competitions. Forest Green were relegated, yet the club's players voted him their Players' Player of the Season. He returned to Blackpool in July 2023.

That November Blackpool announced a contract extension to June 2026, with an option for a further 12 months. He became a regular starter under Steve Bruce. He was named Blackpool Player of the Month for December 2024 and again for January 2025.

By May 2026 he had made more than 120 league appearances for the club.
