About the player
Blackpool turned Karoy Anderson's loan into a permanent move on 21 July 2026, giving the midfielder a four-year contract. The fee was not disclosed. He had arrived from Charlton Athletic on 2 February that year on loan for the rest of the season, and he made 16 appearances and scored once before the club committed to him.
Anderson came through the Charlton academy and signed his first professional contract on 5 October 2021. His senior debut followed on 22 November 2022 in an EFL Trophy match against Plymouth Argyle. Across four years in the first team, up to 2026, he made 73 league appearances and scored four goals.
Early in his senior career he went out for experience. On 17 January 2023 he joined Aldershot Town on loan for an initial 28 days, and the spell was later extended. He played five league games for the club.
Anderson is a central midfielder who plays for Jamaica at international level. He has 19 caps and has not yet scored for the national side.
Blackpool's decision to sign him outright came after those 16 appearances on loan.
