About the player
He made his senior debut for Salzburg on 21 August 2024, in a UEFA Champions League qualifier against Dynamo Kyiv, though most of his football has come through the club's feeder side, FC Liefering, where he made his debut in May 2023 and went on to make 45 league appearances, scoring four goals. He signed a professional contract with Liefering in July 2023 that runs to 2026, and a loan to TSV Hartberg has been arranged for July 2026.
Lukić has represented Austria at under-16, under-17 and under-18 level. In September 2023, however, he lodged a request with FIFA to change nationality, opting for Croatia instead. He made his debut for the Croatia under-19 side in February 2024 at a friendly tournament in Istria, and by November of that year had scored four goals in six appearances for the age group. He has not yet featured for either nation's senior team.
