Quentin Bernard

Quentin Bernard made close to 220 appearances for Chamois Niortais between 2008 and 2015, coming through the club's youth ranks and helping it up into Ligue 2 before he left on a free transfer. That move took him to Dijon, where he became a regular in the side that won promotion to Ligue 1 in the 2015–16 season. Playing time dried up afterwards, and in January 2017 he moved on again, joining Stade Brestois 29 and linking back up with Jean-Marc Furlan, the coach who had worked with him before. Two and a half seasons at Brest brought another promotion to the top flight.

In June 2019 Bernard signed for AJ Auxerre, where he stayed until January 2023, when Christophe Pélissier told him he no longer featured in his plans. He returned to Niort on a deal running to June 2024, then left in August of that year after the club were relegated by administrative decision. Days later he went back to Dijon, by then playing in the National, the French third tier.

That second spell at Dijon paid off. In the 2025–2026 season Bernard was part of the squad that won the Championnat National, sealing the title with a 2-1 win over Le Puy Foot 43 and sending the club back up to Ligue 2. Every one of his moves throughout his career came on a free transfer. He has never been capped by France at senior level.
